They can offer a clinic where they can deal with many illnesses that do not require a Doctor. They are available for same day bookings for all sorts of problems ranging from chest infections, rashes, burns and sprains to urine infections. However, they do NOT deal with abdominal pain or chest pain. They do NOT also deal with Babies under 12 months. There is often more availability in Specialist Nurse clinics than waiting for a Doctors' appointment to become available.

Please remember that coughs, colds and sore throats are usually self-limiting and do not require a doctor or nurse.
